iMaschine 2 App Reviews

Everything is great except for the following that should be applied to iPhone and iPad versions: 1: No midi controller/pad controller support. 2: It needs more than 4 patterns 3: Really needs a piano roll. I mean come on if garageband did it why cant you Native Intruments!!! Please!!! 4: Need something like 16 perfect slices on sample editor If you add all of this on your newer update i still have to use maschine studio on my computer for my mixing and mastering and thats fine so please add what consumers want so we can continue to be loyal to Native Instruments!!!! Only until then shall iMaschine will receive a full 5 stars!!!

Update: This is one of those rare apps that gets better every few weeks with new additions and updates. The inclusion of Ableton sync makes recording and jamming out with friends that much easier. The care that went into the design of this app is clear. The best beat beating making app for the iPhone just got a whole lot better. Create beats on the bus or your lunch break with ease. Colored pads help keep things organized and the addition of chords and scales makes writing music simple. In a classy move, they have put dozens of expansions on sale for a dollar. If youve never written music before and are curious where to start, this is it!

Please add a reverb effect.

First lemme say this is definitely an improvement from v1. Im using it as a quick field recorder for percussion and loop creator. Dig that they now have audiocopy, sample reverse, and ableton link implemented. Still this is missing a key feature for me and Im sure a lot of other people using this as a sound creation (instead of consumption) app. PAD COPY/CUT/PASTE. Please let us EDIT pad location in this way; so we can split large samples, organize our created kits, and double kick drums for fast playing. (Its hard to "double time" hits on the phone with such a small UI) Also...WHERE IS THE MIDI SUPPORT? Let me use my usb controllers please.

I liked the old iMaschine, but I couldnt get much more than a few bars going. With iMaschine 2, I can use multiple patterns and make a whole song. New sounds are awesome. Step mode is awesome. Thanks for making this so much better.

I had iMaschine before iMaschine 2 and the improvements NI made are great. You can really make a full on beat in this app now. But there are two things now that I feel are real basic and should be present with this app. First, When creating a "blank" project on iMaschine 2 , its blank of patterns, but all the samples from the last project I worked on are present. How can I really create a blank project? This brings me to my second request which is a delete feature. There is no way of deleting my old samples just overwriting them with new samples I put on the same pad. Seems so simple, dont know why this was overlooked. Overall tho, great product.

I bought most of the expansions in imashine, but none of them restore in imashine 2, so therefore all my projects load with tons of missing samples. Then I get a popup stating I can get the "Ultimate Edition" for 9.99 which includes almost all the expansions from the first version of imashine I already paid for. When I hit restore purchases I just get an error message.
